Who said Christmas presents?

Usual Ikea Erasmus Duvet Cover

Less than 2 weeks left to be back in Spain! Can’t wait!! I’m so excited… I have already started to prepare and pack my plane hand luggage, do not really know how much will fit in it… probably will have to take away some books at the very last minute…

Amazing Christmas lights at Oxford Street

Yesterday, it was my Christmas present shopping day! I went off to OxfordStreet and looked for the best bargains suiting what I intended to get for family and friends. I had two musts, Primark and Waterstones Bookshop! All in all, by the time I got to Primark, almost nothing left, no doubt why people queue for more than an hour before it opens…

People queuing one hour before Primark opening time

So, I had to pop up to Waterstones Bookshop, its flagship is at Piccadilly Circus, and literally I stayed there for almost half of the day and got plenty of books at a very reasonable price! If you are visiting London, Watherstones Bookshop is worth a visit and you might find there the best souvenir for your beloved ones…

What about the rest of the week?

This has been quite a looooooong week, I have worked 6 days in a row (Monday - Saturday), could not wait for Saturday to come…

We have had some sporty challenges along these two months with great female participation. June and I have taken part in a plank challenge! It was great fun until our bodies started shaking, we almost did it… Congrats to June OUR TEAM great WINNER, she stayed there for almost 5 min and to the REAL winner who broke his record 13’ !!!!!!

As usually we have been socialising and had a building team event, this time we went for lunch altogether, shot our mannequin challenge and took the best selfie ever! I cannot make them public yet as they are part of a contest and we don’t know yet who the winner will be, but I will post it as soon as the winner is announced.
Investigators!

I guess this is all for the last week! Hope new activities and shopping will continue for this week!
Hope you all had a great Monday!

Ya mismo nos vemos, qué ganitas!

It's All About Christmas

Hola a tod@s!

Let’s go for the second post of Accitana On The Tube!

This has been an amazing week! Have a look at this Morning Christmassy welcome at the office! (Top Photo)

Yes! We have already started decorating for Christmas; and have even received an unexpected visit from Santa Claus, who has been handing out Advent Calendars for everyone (Yeah! I got the Spiderman one!)

(Sorry for the pics resolution)

Hilarious!
This has been a very busy week full of activities and plans to join in! On Wednesday, we went to Genesis Cinema and saw Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them. Genesis Cinema offers very affordable prices from Monday to Wednesday, tickets for only £4.5!! There is also a kitchen serving pizza and Pieminister Pies and a bar to have a beer and swallow all that food. Definitely, this is a cheap and enriching plan for Wednesdays evenings! Can’t wait for the next time!

We have been partying as well... not very hard in my case, but still I had an amazing time with my new colleagues; we had the chance to socialise and get up to date with people sitting on the other side of the office; we also mixed up a bit with people from other teams… All in all, we drank and sneaked some snacks from a very posh group people who were not eating them. ;)

I was about to forget that we also had some amazing selfies, though not allowed to post on the blog ;).

Have a look at the uncommitted ones:
First Bottle of Red Wine
Second Bottle of the same one...

Thanks for reading,

I miss u!

Welcome you all!!

Hola a todos & welcome to my first attempt to start an interesting and helpful blog about my experience in London. I have been living in this crazy and overwhelming city for one month already and it is amazing how shocking it was at the beginning and how much more at ease I feel now… Yes… It has not been an easy road, mostly during the first weeks, but it seems I feel back on track again and willing to make the most of this opportunity, and why not sharing it with you all?

What is the aim of “AccitanaOntheTube”?

To put it in a nutshell, I will try to do my best and post interesting facts about the city, free activities and cool places offered to expats & British running a bit short of money (MY CASE); I’ll try to write as often as possible about how I am doing at work as an Amazonian Investigator, and how I am handling all this far away from my boyfriend, family, friends and my beloved Guadix.

By the way, the name for my blog responds to the demonym for the residents of Guadix (my beautiful city, didn't I say so yet?) which is "Accitano" and the tube, the most popular means of transport in London.
