Back to the Greatest Metropolis on the Earth! (2017)

Family + Traditional hand-made Christmas Treats + PATATAS ASADAS A LA LUMBRE

Holita!!!

It seems we have no more excuses whatsoever to get back on track and stick to our new year’s resolutions. I hope you all had a nice Christmas and feasts have left you some strength to face the
New Year in the best way possible!

On my way to London from the air

This has been kind of a hard week, purely because I have suffered a bit of the well known post-holiday syndrome. Thanks God, the team is not giving in and we keep on bringing loads of food to the office and
organising activities with the only intention of keeping up the good spirits we had during Christmas. I must also say how much it helps thinking that we have already scheduled a fancy dress party, and the work GREAT party is taking place at the end of this month. (I bet unexpected ones will come up as well.)

British Museum + National Gallery

First Weekend of 2017

It has been a chilly and drizzling weekend, so, rather than exploring new areas or going window-shopping I have been visiting two of the most popular museums in London. You might not know that almost every museum or gallery in London is free entry, you are only charged for some special temporary exhibitions, but the main display and facilities are free for visitors. This is great for poor people like me, isn't it?

I would say this is the best museum I have visited in London so far. (Do you have any other suggestions?) Its collection includes some bits and pieces of the most ancient civilisations and important countries. It also offers free tours in different languages and plenty of activities for families. I really enjoyed the informal and international atmosphere and the feeling that it was not a place for snob or posh people (Culturetas, vamos).

The Galley offers a great collection of portraits painted for the most powerful British stateswomen and statesmen, from the Tudor Dynasty until the modern Era. The museums hold a Restaurant on the upper floor where you can sneak in and have the most amazing view of London Skyline.

Coming up soon:

Two extraordinary parties in January and so many visits in February: mum, Julián and maybe Super Adela¡¡¡!!

Looking forward to this lively winter, stay tunned!
